About Us
Each day 10,000 humans are born in the U.S. – and each day 70,000 puppies and kittens are born. As long as these birth rates exist, there will never be enough homes for all the animals. As a result, millions of healthy, loving cats, dogs, kittens and puppies face early deaths as a form of animal control.
Estimates across the country indicate that approximately 3.7 million animals will be euthanized at shelters each year because there are not enough homes for them. In order for every unwanted cat or dog to have a home in the Midlands, each county resident would have to have seven pets. For a family of four, that would mean 28 pets!
The Animal Mission, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of dogs and cats in South Carolina, offers coupons for free and discounted spay/neuter operations throughout the state.
